Happy Birthday To Our Miracle

Today is Spencers 3rd Birthday. All evening I have been thinking about what we went through 3 years ago with Spencer and I cant help but feel how blessed we are for having him with us here today. I love looking at pictures of him when he was first born and seeing what a true miracle he is. I hope you dont mind me sharing one of my favorit pictures. I love this one because it puts into prespective how small he actually was. He was about a week old in this picture. But the thing that makes me realise the most how small he was is to see his little foot next to my thumb. Half the size of my thumb.

We had a fantastic weekend with Spencer. At the beginning of the weekend we thought Lee was going to have to be away this week. But thanks to the ash which has spread through the air space in the UK the conference he was supposed to speak at this week was cancelled. On Saturday we decided to celebrate Spencers Birthday with a BBQ with some new friends of ours and it was so much fun. The weather was beautiful.

Today since Lee didnt have to go away we did presents, Spencers Favorit dinner and more singing and playing with all the new presents.

Anyone who knows Spencer knows how obsessed he is with Mario so naturally he had to have a Mario Cake. I think he officially has every Mario Toy available to man. And thanks to Aunt Misty he now has Mario Stuffed Doll and a Mario Remote Contol Car. Which he loves. Silly me, I blame my pregnant brain, I forgot to get scotch tape at the store today so instead of wrapping the presents we hid the presents and Spencer found them. He really seemed to love it. Anyway here are a few of the pictures. Hope you all enjoy!

i love the pregnancy brain comment. I was just thinking the same thing about myself. But what a great tradition. How fun to have a birthday present hunt. Makes me wonder what other great traditions were made up by accident because of pregnancy brain. hmmm.
p.s. I love the baby pic. You look great for giving birth a week ago and going through all you went through. What a sweet miracle. He's so cute.
