Spencer Thomas Whitfield

Spencer was born April 19 2007 at 5:52pm. He was much more complicated than Kaylee. Spencer was born 14 weeks premature, I was only 26 weeks pregnant. He weighed 2 pounds 12 ounces and was no bigger than my hand. I wont spend much time on the details other than to say thanks to the amazing Doctors and Nurses in the Neo natal unit at Wigan hospital he is still alive and doing well. For all the details about him you can see his web page at http://www.whitfields.org/ click on spencer.
I would rather like to tell you about how well Spencer is doing. He is a mostly healthy 10 month old baby. He has a wheeze which was from having RSV this winter and he still suffers from that. But he is what, I think, most 7 month babies would be like. He has, in the last month, started to roll in both directions. He rolls everywhere. There is no where he wont go. These last few days he has started to sit up on his own. He has two teeth on the bottom, one on the top and one trying to break through on the top.

Spencer is a very happy baby. He loves it when people talk to him and is very attached to his mommy. When I leave the room he cries, that is difficult at the time but it makes me happy that he loves me so much. Because of all that we have been through withSpencer we all have a very strong and close bond with him. We are just so grateful he is alive and doing so well. He currently weighs 20 ounds 1 ounce and is 2 feet 4 inches long. He is going to be very tall like his sister.
