Kaylees First Disco and a Funny Spencerism

Last night Kaylee had her first Disco at her school. I dont really know the way to deal with these sort of things. I know the church advises us not to go to dances until we are 14. But for her this was more of a school fair with games and a chance to just see her friends. I know at this age it is harmless but I wonder how I am going to deal with telling her when she is 11 or 12 that she isnt allowed to go to school discos anymore. To be honest by then we will be in the states and they wont have dances for children anyway. Well at least I hope. She had a lovely time. She played loads of games and ate loads of sweets. She said she only had the chance to dance to one song which was Sponge Bob Square Pants. Kaylee has 3 good friends at school now first is Emily. She talks about Emily all the time. The other two are Angela and Angelina. Of course she has a boyfriends too named Jerome. I am pretty sure he isnt a "boyfriend" as much as a boy who is a friend. I am so glad that she is finally making friends after being here for 2 months. It has really stressed me out big time her not having any friends. so I am really pleased.

Yesterday Spencer woke up with Croup well to be honest he had it all night and was up all night the night before last. So yesterday I was so pleased that he looked and acted so tired. Around 1 in the afternoon he and I went upstairs for a nap. He even asked for it. And these days I need all the rest I can get so I totally didnt fight him about it. The only problem was once we got up there he layed down for about 5 minutes and then just as he was drifting off he jumped up and said Im not tired anymore. Ahhhhhh! So I took advantage of the trash men being outside and said Spencer those big trucks take all the naughty boys away and if you dont lay down they might want to take you away. I never saw her run on the bed so fast. Before I could say anything else he was laying down under the blankets. And then what happen next made me feel pretty bad. He started to cry and said are they going to take me away. Of course I said I would never let anyone take you away but I think I have damaged him for life because when we went to bed last night he said I better go to sleep or those men will come and take me away. He didnt really get up at all. I felt bad that I had said it but I was so tired and wanted to sleep myself. Im a bad mommy. :)

Ha ha, the things we will do for some sleep! I've told some doozys to my kids as well! :)

Also, crazy that Kaylee is getting big enough to go to school dances! I didn't know they started them so early in the UK! Sounds fun though!
