Spencers Turns 4

On Tuesday this week was Spencer's Birthday. For Days Leading up to it I reflected on all that happen at the time of his birth and since. Most everyone here know the story of Spencer and I do hate to go over and over it again and again but at times like birthdays I just cant help but reflect on the blessing that we received 4 years ago in the form of the most perfect little boy ever. Spencer came into this world weighing in at 2 pounds 12 ounces and was the size of my hand when he was born. half my thumb was bigger than his feet. His head was only 9 cm round. He was tiny. Many times we didn't know if he was going to make it. We got numerous phone calls various nights while he was in the Neo Natal Unit saying we don't think he is going to make it through the night. Or Come quick to say your good byes. But never once did I feel like we were actually going to loose him. I was blessed with so much peace with Spencer. And now here we are 4 years later and I thank my Heavenly Father every single day for this little boy. He is truly one of my best friends. He is so compassionate and so loving towards everyone. He lives to make his sisters laugh, along with everyone else. He is always trying to tell funny jokes, always smiling and always getting into mischief. He is so helpful. He always wants to be helping me do things around the house, whether its laundry or cooking or cleaning.

When Spencer was born they said he would likely be small and it would take him until he was around 8 to catch up with other children his age, but I think he has surpassed that already. He is about 3 ft tall and weighs 35-40 pounds, he is so skinny but so tall (his underwear are a size 2 - 3 years so that they fit around his waist properly and yet his trousers are 4-5 or 5-6 always with elastic waist because of his height) Spencer can count well past 20, he can write his name, sing his ABC's knows all his shapes and colors. He recognises some of his letters and pretty much all his numbers up to 20. He is a clever little bunny :)

I love this little boy more than words. I can not imagine a single minute of my life without him. When he is at school I cant wait for him to get home. Because believe it or not I absolutely love spending time with him. I am such a lucky mommy to have been blessed with him in my life.

Spencer and I
Spencer wanted Chocolate Crispy Cakes for his Birthday

I always make whatever the kids want for dinner. No surprise Spencer wanted Chicken Dippers and Chips again.
I kept asking him to smile but he kept showing me his food. He is so funny and such a poser.
I like to let the kids help me make their cake for their Birthday. This year Spencer said only if Kaylee can help me too. He loves her to bits!

Spencer's favorite thing in the world is Luigi from Mario Bros. So all his presents from us were Mario and Luigi based. He loved it!
