6 yrs ago today

This morning when Kaylee got up she came down stairs and I ran up to her picked her up (which is a chore she is a big girl) swung her around and sang happy birthday to her. As the morning progressed I found myself thinking back to that day in December 2003 and to the feelings that I had on the day before and when she arrived. I had been given and epidural sometime during the night so at this time in the morning I was relaxed and had slept for quiet a while. I remember waking up and looking out the hospital window. There was a lovely layer of frost across the meadow just outside the window and the sun was shining beautifully. I remember thinking to myself I never want to forget what it looks like outside on the day my first child is born. And I havent. I wrote a letter to Kaylee that evening just after she had been born expressing my feelings for her because I was so afraid that I would forget how I felt on the day. Here we are 6 years later and lucky for me I haven't forgotten how I felt. I hope that I never forget those feelings I had on the day that heavenly Father sent one of his Special angels to me. I hope that through eternity I will be able to remember how special that day was. Kaylee is one of my best friends and I love her so much. Last night she was still awake when I went to bed so I went in and laid with her for a little while and sang her lullabies that I sang to her when she was a baby. I loved it. I am certain moments like that are more for me then they are for her. Well here is to another year passed. Kaylee I love you more than you could ever imagine. You are my special princess. I live my life for you and Spencer. All that I do is for you and Spencers complete and utter happiness! Thank you for being my baby girl!!
