Our Engagement Picture
Today Lee and I are celebrating our 8th Wedding Anniversary. Firstly I must say I cant believe how quickly time flies. Well kind of. When I look back over everything that has happen in the last 8 years I think man have we only been married 8 years? But then it doesnt feel like it has been 2 minutes since we were sitting in the temple across the alter from each other being married for all time and eternity. Oddly enough I can still remember every detail of that day. I remember a lot of what the sealer said and the feelings that I had then. I have to confess my love for Lee has changed it has grown. I remember thinking at the time there is no way I can ever love him more than I do now but here 8 years on I definitely love him more then I loved him on that day. I wont lie we have had our moments. I remember the first 2 years we were married we never had an argument or fought and we used to think wow we are so cool. After 8 years I cant say that is the case but what I can say is that our disagreements have made us closer as a couple. Each of the challenges and trials that we have faced have made us closer. Those are the things that have made us love each other more. I am so grateful to have such an amazing man as my eternal companion. I married the most perfect man for me. Here are a few of the many things which I love about Lee and the reasons he is perfect for me:
He loves me unconditionally
He always tries to make me happy
He is always smiling
He loves our children effortlessly
He is always so caring for my feelings
He is my Best Friend
He is willing to watch girly movies with me
He is very forgiving of me and others.
He makes me laugh
He is very affectionate
He isnt perfect and isnt afraid to admit that.
He seems to know exactly what I am thinking and feeling
He is not embarrassed of PDA
He always puts me and the kids before himself
He is AMAZING with computers (trust me it is a good thing!)
He loves taking care of me and our little family
He is a really hard worker
He respects me
He makes me feel special
He tells me I am beautiful everyday. Even when I know I am not!
I love you Lee and my life is so much better so bless because you are a part of it.
I look forward to the next 8 + years my love!

I remember that day very well too - man, it was so HOT! It was 117F and I was baking! - the Temple sealing was so beautiful, everything went so well, and there was a lovely reception in the evening. I have to say that marrying Alisha is one of the best decisions Lee has ever made. How did we get so lucky as to have such a wonderful daughter in law? She is amazing and we love her so much.
