Our Independence Day!!

Obviously being in a different country Independence Day isnt really celebrated. Especially in England. I mean why on earth would the want to celebrate the first time the US kicked their butts and made them take their silly rules laws and religion home? Ok so maybe that is a little bit of an over exaggeration but not much. Lee always tells me that they should celebrate it as the day they finally got ride of us. But I know and you know that the British Empire would have been only to lucky to hold onto us. Anyway enough sillyness, back to reality. Yesterday we went to Witton Park in Blackburn and attended the Chorley Stake sports for a little bit. Most of our friends and all of Lee's siblings are in that stake so it is an easy way to see all our friends and family in one go. We arrived there at about 10:30 with a picnic. At about noon we had our picnic and then went and walked around the park. Here is a link to the park it is huge and so beautiful!! In the evening we had some friends around and played games and had some yummy treats. And then to top it all off down the road there was a small fireworks display. That bit was unexpected I assume it would have been some fellow Americans. All in all it was a good day. The best part about it was spending time with my little family in the park. I love spending time with them so much. Here are a few pictures of us in the park.

I'm glad you had a great Independence Day, and you even got fireworks! I was joking all day with all the Americans that it was the day we declared independence from America! Their reactions made me chuckle:) Oh, and how I miss British parks, I haven't found a good one here yet!
