What a great Week!!

This week has been one of the most fantastic Weeks in the UK in a long time for me. I had so much going on and it was just a total blast. I want to remember it for a long time so I am going to do a Day By Day Recap of this weeks events.

Monday: Nothing Special Lots of house work. The fun didnt really start until Tuesday!!

Tuesday: The car broke down. Yep So not fun. Here is a picture of a car like ours:

We have had so many problems since we bought this car. And this month alone we spent just over £400 on the stupid thing. Last week the muffler fell off and this week the Engine Mount broke. Here is a picture of an Engine Mount. The only good thing is that we found a new Mechanic. So that is good! I seriously want rid of this car. But there is nothing we can do really. Not since we plan on moving back to the states in the next 6 - 8 months. If only there was a way that we could use a reliable car until we go. :)

Apparently this is an Engine Mount. Could have fooled me!

Wednesday: I had a very dear friend of mine arrive from the states. Sarah Coyne is a professor of psychology at BYU. She is required to do research and get her research published a couple time a yet. At the moment she is working with some Professors at UCLAN a university in Preston and has had to come over to do research. So On Wednesday her and her dad came over for dinner. It was SOOOOOO Fantastic to See Sarah. Her and I met when I first moved to the UK. Well actually I called her before moving here just to see how she liked it and what to expect. They were our first friends here and I feel a special bond with Sarah. I can be myself around here which is very different from most everyone else I have met in the UK. She can understand how I feel because we both lived away from our families for so long. I honestly feel as though Sarah is one of my Best Friends. She came with me to Book Club on Wednesday as well.

This is Sarah!! Hi Sarah!! I stole a pic of you. We never got any while you were here!! Silly Us!

I love Book Club! It is so much fun. Just one night a month I get together with other women and share our thoughts and feelings about a common interest... Reading. Along with that we get to have a nice chat eat lovely food and just hang out with no children and no one else to bother or interrupt us. It really is a nice night.

A Picture of my book club. Well a few of the members. This was taken last November.

Thursday: Lee's work was up for an award. The were up for SME Business of the year. So we got to dress up really nice and go to a Ball. Lee's Sister and her husband came over (for a small fee) and babysat the kids for us. It was nice for us to go out because we hardly ever get to go out on our own. Also it is so nice to dress up and feel like a princess. I know what you are thinking from the picture... Ummmmm Alisha that is an immodest dress. I know I know. I tried to find a shawl to wear over it and had no luck. So for one night I decided to be beautiful.

Lee's Brother Simon and his wife Lisa work with Lee. So We were lucky to get to go to the ball with them. Doesnt Lisa Look BEAUTIFUL!!

Me and my Sexy Man!!

Lee's Company won the award. It was really a great night. He works for a great company. They are such nice people. He is the Deputy Lab Manager so obviously he has something to do with them receiving the award.

The Award!

Them all collecting the award

Friday: I went and had lunch with some friends from Chorley. We had a lovely time. It was a beautiful day. So we sat in the garden had a lovely chat and let the children just run around in the sunshine. Honest we had a lovely time. Them to top it all off Sarah came back for dinner. We BBQed and just sat and chatted until late last night. I dont know when I will see Sarah again. It wont be until we move there for sure. But the great things about great friends is no matter how much distance there is between you, you can pick up where you left off when you see them again!

Saturday we had the most fun family day. In fact so much so that I am going to blog about it in a separate post.
