Funny things children say and another trip to hospital

So last night we had an intereting experience. I went to get something out of the cupboard and my big Pampered Chef Measuring / mixing bowl fell out and shattered (I mean literally shattered tiny pieces everywhere). Unfortunately for me Spencer was right there and before I could do anything he grabbed a big piece of glass and sliced his right index finger. Not to be but blood started gushing everywhere. I picked him and and took him to the sick to look at it and after putting pressure on it and gauing it for 1/2 hour it was still gushing everywhere. I wasnt sure what to do because when I took the pressure off it then it was bleeding even more. So I ran for an ambulance, which they ended up telling me it wasnt life threatening so I needed to take him the the emergency room myself. The only reason I rang for the ambulance was because I couldnt let go of his finger. When I did honestly it was gushing. But I put a bandaid on it, put him and Kaylee in the car and drove at 4:55 to the hospital during the rush hour traffic. I put the biggest band aid I could find on it and by the time we go to the car the blood had made it come off. So I just let him bleed all the way there. When we got there not only was his right hand all bloody but his face was covered (He sucks his right thumb) as well as his clothes and his left hand. We went in they looked at it and put a big bandage on it said nothing to worry about in a few days change this bandage and it will be ok. So I listened to them and left. We had to stop and pick lee up from the train and while we were driing home Lee and I were talking when all the sudden Kaylee said that is what Spencer was doing huh mommy. i was like what are you talking about Kaylee? She said just like the song, Keep bleeding Keep keep bleeding in love poor little guy. I hadnt noticed but Leona Lewis was playing on the stereo. I started to laugh it was so cute. She loves her little brother so much. She was so concerned about him the whole time. She kept telling the nurses to be careful to not hurt him anymore. And she kept kissing him and saying its ok buddy Kaylees here for you. It is lovely to watch them together. I just love it. His finger did stop bleeding eventually. I had to call my sister and ask her what she thought I should do because even after we got home we had to change the bandage they put on it twice because he was still bleeding so much. thanks to her and her Dr's advice (she is a nurse and was at work with the dr right then) the bleeding finally stopped but we think he cut through a vein which is why it bled for about 3 hours straight non stop.

Oh my goodness! Poor Spencer!!! Sounds like a traumatic experience for both him and you. I'm glad to hear that everything's okay.

By the way, I loved talking to you the other day!!! Thanks again for calling! I miss you so much!!!!!!
