FHE - Pumpkin Carving Contest!

For Family Home Evening this week we had a Pumpkin Carving Contest. It was Boys against girls and some how Kaylee was lucky enough to be the judge. We had loads of fun, but Kaylee didnt want to do the Yucky bit so Mommy and Daddy did the gutting of the pumpkins. Then Kaylee drew the face for the girls and mommy cut it out. While daddy pretty much had to do everything for the boys because Spencer lost interest after the first 10 seconds. Infact I think we said Ready Set and before we got to go he was off playing with toys on the floor. Anyway I was really impressed with Kaylees drawing on the pumpkin it was perfect and made it very easy to cut out. We had a blast. And then came the judging part. The prize was a big hug and Kiss from Kaylee (her idea, she knows how much mommy and daddy love her hugs and Kisses) I thought for sure we would win because she was the judge and she helped to make ours but nooooo she chose her daddy. Fair enough, I get Hugs and Kisses all day long he only gets them in the evenings so I didnt mind one bit. We had loads of fun and now Kaylee wants to do it for Fmaily Home Evening Again Next week. 

I also wanted to mention something else. Kaylee has now given Spencer a Nick Name. SPEEDY!! She wont stop calling him speedy. And when I ask why she says it is because he walks everywhere so fast. Which I have to admit he doesnt really walk anywhere he runs pretty much everywhere. It is so cute. Plus he loves to chase her and he is really fast. Anyway he is standing at the stair gate shout Ba Ba Ba..... And we all know what that means he wants a bath so I think I will give in and let him have one. Love to all!! xx
