Interesting Experience

So yesterday I had an Ahhhh Haaaa Moment. Not as much an Ahhhh Haaa as a you need to look at your children's examples and learn from them. To understand this I have to go back to a week ago yesterday. Wednesdays are Bin day here (trash day) but last Wednesday for some reason the bin men forgot to take our rubbish (trash) So I called the council (city) and asked why. Of course she didn't know it was a mistake and she said someone would be out to collect on Friday instead. So I left the bin out on Friday and at 4:50 no one had shown up. So I rang again and the Lady said oh we are really sorry but we got really busy today we will be out on Monday. Again Monday no one turned up so I rang again and said look there is really no point in anyone coming tomorrow because they come out again on Wednesday, but she said no someone will be there tomorrow and then if you have any more rubbish they will collect again on Wednesday. Well again no one came out. But I didn't really care because it was then Wednesday again and they were going to be there to take it again. So yesterday morning came and our bin was full I had 2 black bags on top of the bin (Not big black bags this is England after all and not really much is big) But the Bin man came and took the black bags off the bin and said Im not taking those. Of course we then proceeded to have an argument in the street for 15 minutes. In England they will not take your bin if the lid is up at all. it has to be completely closed. Our bin is normally 3/4 the way full so this isn't a problem unless of course they forget to take it the week before. Anyway my neighbor came out and put my bags in her bin because hers was pretty empty and the bin man took them out of her bin and said to me with her there  " I am not taking your s*i*" I said to him the council said you would be out to collect it Friday, Monday and Tuesday and you never came out it isn't my fault you missed my bin last week. And I told him the council said he would take it he then said "I don't give a toss (which is a VERY NOT NICE WORD HERE) what the council said" I was fuming I had Spencer out with me because he cries if I go anywhere without him and Kaylee standing at the door. Anyway I couldn't get a hold of the council because it was only at 7:30 in the morning and they weren't open. So I called Lee at work (I don't know why I guess I wanted him to tell me what to do this is after all his country not mine) and he said go out and ask for their names. Of course they wouldn't give them to me and then the guy begrudgingly took my 2 bin bags and gave me a lecture about how the bin lid has to be closed in the future and that if it isn't he will never take my bin again.... Whoooo Im scared!! Ok maybe I am a little bin men are dirty and scary!

And now for the Learn from my children's example part. When we all came back inside (and all the neighbors went back inside, there were 3 out there in the end, which is probably why he took my bags too many witnesses to what had happen) Kaylee said mommy I don't think that man has the Holy Spirit with him because if he did he wouldn't have said naughty words to you and been so mean. I said no he probably doesn't. She said "I bet he has never even heard of Jesus Christ or Heavenly Father. Maybe we should teach him about them mommy. I think next week when he come back around we should take out the holy scriptures to him and give them to him as a gift. I have an extra one he can have. Then he can get baptized and have the Holy spirit with him and not be such a mean man" Schwoosh it was like a huge gust of air hit me in the face. How on earth could my 4 year old child be so smart to know what to do and what the answer is to the whole problem. Straight away my absolute Hate for these two bin men just turned to strong Dislike (no one said I have to like them) and I felt like wow she is right. Will I give them "the holy scriptures" next week? Probably not because I really don't ever want to talk to those men again. But maybe nearer to Christmas I will give them each one wrapped up like a gift with something nice written inside. Thank you Kaylee for teaching me such a valuable lesson. One which I already knew in my heart but obviously needed a 4 year old to remind me of. You must be my guardian angel. The one who will help me be the best I can so we can be a celestial family!

How easy we forget when we're caught in the moment. Thank goodness for the special spirits of children!!
