Cheeky Children

Most people would think that at 5 and 2 children would be well mannered, well behaved, loving, kind, generous and the list goes on and on. And though my children are most of those things they also have cheeky streaks. This week they have both had their moments. Moments when I sit back and think oh my word are those my children? Let me explain.

One morning this week I said to Kaylee you need to get your shoes on we need to leave in five minutes for school. She didnt move. I said it again, Kaylee, Get your shoes on we are leaving in five minutes. She looked at me but didnt do anything else. So the next time I raised my voice. I didnt shout but I raised my voice. Kaylee, Get your shoes on. She looked at me and said Stop being a Bossy Butt. I said Kaylee I am a bossy butt I am the mommy and I am the boss! She said well daddy is really the boss. I said No he isnt and he isnt here anyway so Im the boss. She said but your acting like a mayor. I said a mayor. She said yeah like the mayor of the whole town. I will get my shoes on when Im ready. At which point I said you are going to bed 5 minutes early tonight. We can then see who is the boss.

The other one was when I said to Spencer come here so I can change your bum. I grabbed his arm and he said Get off Me!

Oh man If this is the back talking I get now can you imagine how it will be in 10 years? Heaven help us all!!
