Wont Let Go - Rascal Flatts

I was listening to this song in the car this morning while taking everyone to work and school and I could invision it to pictures of christ and this being like what Christ would say to each of us. So I came home and throughout the day I have been putting pictures to the music. It has litterally taken all day. I mean I started it at 9:30 this morning and it is 11:50 pm and I have just finished the whole thing. But I think it turned out pretty good. What do you think? I even think I am going to use it as my Spiritual thought for Homemaking Honeys on Sunday. Please let me know what you think before then because I dont want to look like an idiot and put it up if it is really rubbish!!

Christmas Card

So I have been struggling with what to do for our Christmas card. Ive just not got any brilliant pictures of the three children which would work. That is until now. Over the weekend we went up to visit with Lee's family. Every year in their stake they do the Festival of Nativities. First let me tell you I look forward to this every year. I love how it is decorated, I love the Nativities, I love the hands on ideas for children. I think it is a fantastic way to start the Christmas season... centered on Christ. Well this year they had a dress up room where you could dress up like Joseph and Mary. It gave me an idea. I have a daughter who could dress up like Mary, a son like Joseph and a baby. So we did it. We dressed them all up and took a picture for our family Christmas card. It turned out so cute. Then last night I pulled up GIMP and started to edit. I found some free Christmas Digital Scrapbooking pages and went to town. Here is what I have created:

So now my Christmas Cards are sorted and I have just ordered 50 of them. Whoop whoop!! Im so excited. If you want one please email me your address (amwhitfield@gmail.com) I can wait to get them sent out. Im well pleased!

Halloween Wreath

Ok so again as most of you know I love doing crafty things. I am working on Halloween projects at the moment. Trying to get them done before the 1st of October when all my Halloween Decorations go up. This morning I made this wreath.

What do you think? I am going to list them on ebay as well. Plus if you are in the UK and want to buy one from a poor American Girl to help her save money for her hubby's visa (Please Buy one!) I am going to be selling them for £8.00!! Let me know what you think about the wreath!

Look what I made

This morning I made a Trash Bag for the car... Well two of them. One for each child. This is an attempt to keep my car more tidy. Do I have any hopes that they will work yes. Do I actually think they will work?.... Well thats another story. We will see! Here is a picture of it. If you want to see how I made it you can go to www.homemakinghoneys.com and I have done a tutorial there.

Look what I made...

I made this handbag this weekend. It took literally all weekend but it only cost me 50p (75cents) to make. It was a long process but I love it and I think it is really cute. I want to make some more to sell in my Etsy shop but I am not too sure how much to sell it for. So I am asking for your help. What would you sell this for if you were me? Or how much would you buy something like this for?

I also wanted to link to a talk from President Uchtdorf. Read it here I especially like the paragraphs under the topic "The Work of Creation" I said to Lee today see the prophets have told us to be creative and crafty. And considering I made this purse for only 50p I would think that I have also followed the instruction that it doesnt have to cost a lot of money. I LOVE listening to President Uchtdorf. Not just because of this talk but there is something about every time I hear him speak I just know that he has ben called by our Heavenly Father for today! What an amazing man!

Crafting in Utah

I had forgotten how much I love doing crafty things. I love to sew. Why had I forgotten this? It is so calming to me and just really allows me the time to just meditate. I know weird but that is how it is for me. I love doing crafty things. Whilst at home my sister reminded me how much I love it. So now my sewing machine which has been in the loft for the past 4 years while living here is coming down and I am going to go to town making things again. It will give me something to while passing the time waiting for Lee's visa to arrive. Anyway here are two of the crafts that I did while I was away:

If you want to know how I made them then visit my other blog homemakinghoneys.com.

New Design

Over the last few days I have been doing Digital Scrapbooking for other people. Not a lot just a bit. But today I decided I needed to give my blog a facelift. I liked the old design but I found a kit which was all to do with Jeans. It is so cute there are some adorable elements in it. Anyway I decided to just give my blog a redesign for a change. So do you like it? I am always happy to help people with their design if they are looking for help. Just give me a shout. If you want some really cute Free backgrounds then you should check out my friend Tiffini Howards website www.thatblogplace.com She has loads of backgrounds on there for Free. I love the site. If I didnt create my own backgrounds I would totally get them from there! Anyway I cant wait to hear your comments. xx

Digital Scrapboking

I LOVE IT!! My sister asked me to make a new background for her blog and a new header with a few pictures. Here is what I made:

If you want to see it in action you can go to her blog www.robles4.blogspot.com. Brittney doesnt update very often. In fact Im in the process of updating it for her. She is very busy working full time and living far away from home makes it hard to have time to do any blogging. If you know her and want to link to her page Im sure she wouldnt mind but will you let me know so I can add you to her friends and family so she can keep up with you and your family too. Im trying to make blogging easy for her and get everything sorted so all she has to do is just post. I love you Britt!x

Valentines Day Coupons

I have been getting into Digital Scrapbooking lately. Im sure you have seen a little bit of it on here the last few days. Anyway Today I decided to make some "Love Coupons" for Kaylee to write on and give to Lee for Valentines Day tomorrow. I thought I would share them with you because I think they are cuter than most coupons I have seen with the same idea. All you have to do is open Word or Open Offce (what ever text document program you have) and insert these as an image. They you will be able to print them out and use them yourself. You will likely have to save them to your desktop first. You wont be able to insert an image from the internet. Alternatively an easier way is probably to just click on the image then click file in your browesr and then print. Duh why did I just waste 2 minutes typing the other. Oh well you get the idea! Hope you can make some use of these. They are pretty cute!

Happy Valentines Day!

I cant believe how easy it was. Honestly!!! So if anyone wants a really easy really tasty recipe for strawberry jam let me know and I will share! I also have recipes for loads of other jams of which I will be trying to make over the next few weeks. My food storage will be stocked with Jam!! Not much else but hey we can live on jam for years!
